Works on the installation of pipe and drape, usually working in an environment where design may change and requires the worker with varied experience to work without close supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and load pipe & drape orders.
  • Erect scaffolding, and braces by positioning, joining and aligning pipe sections.
  • Sort and hang drape panels.
  • Provide excellent customer service by working with customers on site to solve problems and meet their needs.
  • Restock returned pipe & drape rental items to appropriate locations.
  • Sort and stack drape support equipment, pipes, bases, weights.
  • Maintain pipe & drape work area in a neat and clean manner.
  • Load truck to distribute weight evenly and protect product.
  • Conduct pre-use truck inspection.
  • Drive truck to delivery/pick-up locations.
  • Manage paperwork-governing deliver/pick-up.
  • Warehouse duties for pipe and drape as assigned.
  • Clean and make repairs to product.
  • Oversee training, activity and safety of temporary labor.
  • Communicate progress to customer, sales and supervisor.
  • Periodically assist in the warehousing and delivery of rental furniture.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Reads, understands and communicates effectively in English
  • Current driver's license
  • Clear MVR for the past three years
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Safe truck driver able to do city driving
  • Knowledgeable in pipe and drape installation and take down
  • Experience in managing inventory and counts
  • Organized and consistent in checking staged product against delivery manifest
  • Quick thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and is willing to work long hours as a team
  • This is a full time position averaging 40 hours per week.  Opportunity for overtime.
